Hi Jonathan, There were 1,000 + or minus 1 or 2 years between the Jewish War and the conquest of Israel by the Seljuk Turks. This conquest was the imputus behind the first crusade, the Battle of Gog and Magog. Please refer to my commentaries on Revelation 20, Ezekiel 38 and Ezekiel 39. I understand that everyone is looking for a future free of sin, pain and sorrow. I feel that this desire has led many preterists to look for prophecies that have not been fulfilled so that they have something to hang on to preserve their hope of a future free of pain. This desire for a loving existence with God is in heaven and it is available now. There is no need to look to the future of the earth for this hope. See my commentary on Revelation 21 and 1 Cor 15.
